Jaipur solo

Jaipur Solo Variation

Solo Preparation

Take one card of each type from the deck, shuffle them and place them face down. That’s your opponent’s action deck.

Prepare the game as usual, but don’t give the opponent any cards. You start.

Solo Gameplay

Your turn goes as usual.

When it’s the opponent’s turn, flip the topmost card from their action deck and resolve as follows:

  1. Discard all the cards in the trade row that match the action card’s suite.
  2. If no matching card is in the trade row, take the topmost matching token and give it to the opponent.
  3. If there is also no matching token anymore, discard the single most valuable card from the trade row.

In case you should ever discard camels, collect them all instead for endgame scoring.

When you discard 3, 4 or 5 cards from the trade row, immediately give the opponent a corresponding bonus token.

When the action deck runs out, flip the action deck’s discard pile. Don’t shuffle it anymore.

Goods Clarification

For this variant’s purposes, the value order of the goods is:

  1. camels (least preferred)
  2. leather
  3. spice
  4. silk
  5. silver
  6. gold
  7. jewelry (most preferred)

Scoring

At the scoring phase, the opponent gets all the tokens you did not grab.

Give the camel token to the player with the most camel cards.

The rest of the scoring goes as usual.
